Two Peas in a Crib

As you all can remember…Riley didn't like Tate…he still claims that "TATE IS NOT MY BEST FRIEND!"  so when we were pregnant with Blakely we wondered how Tate would react to her.  Would he detest her like Riley did Tate?  Or would he even notice her, after all he was only 16 months old when she was born.

But from day one he has be enamored with her.  Always wanting to look at her "issssa baaabeee"  I did have to master the one leg lift, when I was nursing, because Tate always wants to sit on my lap.

More recently, since blakely sits on the floor with boys, Tate like to come up to her and talk or hug or tickle.  I never would have left Tate alone in a room with Riley, I still don't.  But Tate (and Riley) are so very gentle with Blakely.

You might catch Tate kissing on Blakely...

Singing a song or telling her a story…you may even catch him eating her snacks off her tray.

Today, as I frequently do, put Blakely in her crib while I made her bottle.  And Tate, as he frequently does, followed me up to her room and climbed up on her crib to see her.  I left them like this…
