Happy Halloween!

This my semi-homemade pirate costume…I made boots and an eye patch, but Riley didn't want anything to do with them.  He ended up being a sick little boy by the end of the night with a 102 temp…and then this morning woke up with a 103 temp…

But I think he had fun seeing all the costumes!  I sat out and handing out candy this year, this was my first time doing this, so I got a witches hat and a trick or treat shirt and anxiously awaited my first beggar!

I got hit with 20 kids right away, they swarmed me like bees and I kind of felt a little panicked!  They were all older (8-13 years)  none of them said trick or treat and none of them said thank you!  Plus hardly any of them had a costume on (or at least what I would consider a costume)   I was disgusted!  

The younger children were fun to see and they were the most polite, they told me a joke and took 1 piece of candy.  One girl came up and asked how many she could take and I said "oh…it doesn't matter"  so she took both her hands and dug in the candy bowl.  Such a rookie mistake…always say 1 piece of candy!
