This weekend was Blakely's 1st Birthday party. Here are some pictures of the decor and fun!
It was a vintage shabby chic party and I wanted to stick with the theme and make everything!
Including the invite…I saw this vintage photo while googling ideas and I had to use this little girl…look familiar?

Pretty much everything was homemade or upcycled decor
from the cake to the curtains (I used blakely's white curtains as the cake table backdrop.)
The cake was classic yellow with buttercream frosting. I used a flower tip piping bag and swirled each rose on and with each row I darkened the frosting.
The drink was a lemonade/fruit punch/ginger ale mix and ice tea which was still brewing and not in the picture.
The banner is scrap book paper and twine
The teal backdrop is canvas fabric I had in storage
and borrowed cake plate and mason jars spray painted
The caramel apples were plain, heath and pecan

The cake topper and highchair decor was tule tied around string into a bow and then "fluffed"
Blakely thoroughly enjoyed the cake, and like everyone looking at her!
She sat for all the presents, I was surprised. And she waited for Dad's enthusiastic reaction to each present!
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to wish Blakely a happy birthday…it wouldn't be the same if family didn't come. Ryan and I are VERY THANKFUL and BLESSED to have such wonderful family who love our children as much (if not more) than we do :)
THANK YOU AGAIN!
PS. Riley informed me that HIS birthday party is going to be the best…EVER! He might be right :)
