We decided this year to continue the "real tree" tradition but raise the bar a little bit and cut it down ourselves! I knew the kids would love it and I wanted to sneak in a family photo, since we didn't have time this fall. When we got to the farm, I explained we were looking for the "best tree here" and of coarse Riley was like "challenge accepted!" ...the children scattered in a vast field of christmas trees...only to be noticed by their yells
"THIS ONE HERE! THIS IS IT! THE BEST TREE!"
Ryan and I said, that tree is literally 30 feet tall...keep it as tall as Daddy.
We walked around for about 20 minutes and slowly Riley was getting more and more pissed at us for not picking any of the trees he liked...
Tate was starting to complain about being cold (frozen from the waist down)
and Blakely was technically lost
So we found a good row of trees and told the kids to pick one.
This picture really shows the excitement...
Riley helped pull the tree
The kids were really hoping some chipmunks were tenets in our tree
We decorated while watching Charlie Brown Christmas
When I bought our ornaments a couple years ago, I specifically got 3 of everything so each kid would have an ornament to put up.
The kids had a lot of fun....
and according to them we did indeed get...
THE BEST CHRISTMAS TREE EVER!
