Red Bird, Red Bird....where did you go?

We are officially moved into our new house and there were a few "traditions" I wanted to bring over from our old house.  One BIG "tradition"  was every morning I would drink my coffee and Riley would sip his juice and we would watch all the birds out the window.  If you remember, our old house had floor to ceiling windows, this new house does not.  However, I was determined to continue this, since Riley enjoyed it so much.  I went and bought cardinal RED BIRD seed and Riley helped me put up the bird feeders so we could see them from the deck.  Lastly I had him fill up the bird feeders with cardinal RED BIRD.  We went  inside and sat at the kitchen window and waited...waited...waited...and all of a sudden a flock of birds come!  there were pigeons & sparrows...no red birds.  4 days later we still get pigeons and sparrows...no red birds.

Speaking of the new house!  Here are downstairs pictures of the living room, kitchen and the studio in the basement.  Upstairs isn't quite settled yet but I will post pictures soon!

The things kids do when you leave them alone with grandparents!

Riley spent a couple days with Grandma and Grandpa Schaller, when we were closing on our old house and I had a wedding to shoot.  When I left him, they were excited to have him and when I picked him up they were exhausted!  My mom kept saying "did you know he can do this!?"  "did you know he does that!?"
 I said "yes...that is why I am exhausted! "
Here are some pictures from Riley's adventures with the Schaller Grandparents

Sweet Corn

Riley had his first taste of Good Ole Iowa Sweet Corn.  He didn't actually take any chunks out of the cob, but he did lick off the butter and salt...it's all about the experience...right?
